Wow...
I just finished watching a 54 minute video on America's growing Health Care problem. Honestly, the only reason why I deemed it necessary to take almost an hour out of my busy schedule to watch this is because it is required by my Community Health class. However, after watching it, I feel that everyone needs to watch this.

PLEASE watch the video via the link above if you have time. It will be very educational and eye opening - even if you are someone like me who tries to keep up with all of the Health Care Reform news/updates/etc.
This video will explain the Health Care problem in America in lamens terms so that everyone can realize how big of an issue this really is. For God's sake - 20,000 people die each year mainly because they were not able to obtain health care coverage because of their pre-existing condition and/or they can not afford it! There are that many people dieing because of a FAILED HEALTH CARE SYSTEM. That number doesn't include any other individuals who suffer (physically, mentally, financially, etc.) from our flawed health care system as well. There are college graduates who put off dreams/future aspiritions to get dead end jobs just so they can afford their prescription costs, there are people who have exhausted their 18-month COBRA coverage after being terminated from their jobs who have filed bankruptcy soley because of medical bills. There are so many other examples, and they are all very sad and unfortunate.
So, before people ignorantly spout off about how the 'government is trying to control everything' and 'everything needs to stay the same way'....
I think we can all agree, something needs to be done. This is completely ridiculous. The United States of America is supposed to be one of the most powerful countries in the world, yet we are the ONLY developed country who will allow citizens to put off and/or completely not get treatment due to not having coverage/not being able to afford it.
So, even if you do not completely agree with the structure of the proposed Health Care Reform, please do your part to support change above everything else.
